Puntamba to Mumbai via Nashik - Farmers strike called off, Maharashtra govt to waive farmers loan.


The Maharashtra govt on sunday agree to waive of farmers loan. This decision helpful to 1.30 CR farmers respectively as per land holding capacity in the Maharashtra. also govt agreed to withdraw cases against activists who don't have criminal history. There were 35 members of farmers committee present to discussion with committee of ministers at Sahyadri guest house. 

Below five acres land holding farmers get immediate benefits of loan waiver and they can apply for fresh loans for current season. above five acres farmers have to wait decision of 10 members committee in the leadership of Mr. Chandrakant Patil, Revenue minister of Maharashtra state government. This committee will decide loan waiver policy for big farmers. 

Raju Shetti, the chief of swabhimani shetakari sanghatana & the members of farmers committee told that they will wait upto 26th july. If the demands of government not met as desided then the farmers resume their protest. 

Protest starts from Puntamba, district Ahmadnagar and step by step protest expands upto 7 to 8 districts of Maharashtra. already on 2nd june CM Fadanavis declared a loan waive of small & marginal farmers and it will be implement upto 31st of october but farmers coordinating committee reject it and once again started protest from 8th june.
